Another Book Review coming at ya! Hope everyone had a relaxing Christmas and for all my teacher friends a nice break. This month’s book was The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.
Getting a 4/5 star review on many book review websites, I was very excited to read this book. Suggested by many as well as a great book and easy read, I decided to dive right in.
My excitement fell flat. I could not make it past the first couple of chapters. It was just so depressing to me. I’m sure the ending was great as many people talked about, but I just couldn’t get hooked.
Slow to begin and very sad in the book’s opening chapters I just couldn’t get myself to read more. I tried to give it another chance claiming that it was just because science fiction and fantasy are not some of my favorite genres. However, it just wasn’t as interesting or thought provoking as I once thought.
I give this book 1.5/5 stars.
