This month’s book club book was Hello Girls by Brittany Cavallaro and Emily Henry.
I can’t remember where I saw the recommendation to read this book. However, I do remember that the storyline and the front cover really pulled in my interest.
The story follows two girls who want to escape this life due to abuse and other such issues. They decide to get together to travel across the country. Although it seems like an interesting read. I was unfortunately a bit disappointed.
The chapters leading up to when the girls decide to leave were very slow and felt like nothing was going to happen anytime soon. I’m sure when the girls left it would get better but I couldn’t get too much past after the girls get what they need to leave. I would have loved to see how they meet Winona’s mother.
I rate this book a 3/5 stars.
