This book was just wow! Definitely in one of my top 10 favorite books of all time. I would give it a 5/5.
One of the reasons this book was so great was the addition of the letters, it made it seem more personal and it really exposed the thoughts of the main character.
With lots of injustices going on in the world right now, this book helped bring it down to a personal level and in a more understanding level. I attempted to read the book The Hate U Give back in March. It was of a similar theme but it was much more difficult in my opinion to follow the story line.
Dear Martin kept the story line quick and easy with shorter chapters to follow along with as well as giving both first person and third person point of view so you always feel in the know as a reader.
