Surviving the Holidays

I put this post in travel because originally when I thought of this I wanted to talking about holiday travel. However, this year I strongly encourage you to not travel if possible. I know it is hard because we have been away from extended family and  friends for a while, but it is for the best and  the better of all.

Anyway back to the post. This is all about Surviving the Holidays which COVID or not is always a stressful time for many. These few tips can you help you out in surviving this crazy season the next few months.

1. Making Self Care a Priority: yup you read that right my first tip is all about you. When we get stressed we stop carrying about ourselves but is it so important! If you haven’t checked it out go read my post on this cooling eye stick literally a life saver.

2. Planning: this goes for a lot. If you’re cooking a family meal for Thanksgiving or another holiday gathering then planning the menu and getting ingredients and  making some of it beforehand. Plan to get school work or regular work done so that you have maximum time to spend with family. If you are traveling then planning for that and  how you will be safe and  stay healthy. If you are looking for some holiday ready food hop on over to the Food tab under Life for some easy but yummy recipes!

3. Spend time with family: although it seems like you’ve been hanging with the family for like forever now the holidays bring out the magic of spending time as a family. After it is all said and  done the meal will cook, the room will get vacuumed, and  the shopping will get done. However you can never get back those family moments which we will all sit and  look back and  laugh upon.
