Recipe: Apple Crisp
Serves: 4 people
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Oven Temp: 350 degrees F
Ingredients:
5-6 granny smith apples
1 cup and 2TBS of flour
1 cup and 2TBS of brown sugar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 stick of butter
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup of oats
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8×8 dish with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl mix the cut apples, 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of brown sugar, the sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Toss with apples until coated. Pour into dish.
- In a medium bowl add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, the oats, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, the baking powder, and the butter. Use a fork and your hands to combine and crumble the mixture.
- Spread topping over the apples and pat down.
- Bake 20 minutes or until brown and slightly bubbly.
- Let cool and serve with vanilla ice cream.
