There are so many great apps for teachers out there and this is only a small list, but I believe these are great for all teachers.
1. Google Classroom
Google Classroom is great if your district does not have a specific platform for you to put your classroom online. Google classroom allows you to set up an online space for your classroom where you can upload worksheets, a calendar, and you can even have a section for parents to go on to get important information and keep up with what is happening in your classroom.
2. Kahoot
Kahoot is a great way to do a fun whole class multiple choice quiz. It works out great as a way to review or for a teacher to know what their students already know about an upcoming unit. It’s free to use and during the game you can only see how many people answered a certain answer but afterwards you as the teacher can see the specifics.
3. Your state standards
Obviously teachers need to know their state standards for what they teach. Most veteran teachers know their standards like the back of their hand. However, us newbies are still or even if you need a refresh.
4. Canva
I use canva for a lot of different things, but it is great for teachers. You can use it to put together newsletters, photo collages, infographics, or announcements.
5. Remind
Remind lets you send out reminders to both teachers and students. No more forgotten permission slips or missed homework assignments.
