This month’s Book Club book was A Favor for a Favor by Helena Hunting.
Let me just say that I’ve NEVER been into sports and romance. Just has never been my thing and certainly not with hockey. However, this book really did surprise me in a good way. I actually truly enjoyed it.
It is technically book 2 in the series but it can be totally read alone and still make complete sense.
I really enjoyed Stevie who was the main protagonist. She really was a true girl boss and did not want her family status to get her anything in life. She wanted to achieve all on her own and I really admired that about her
The plot line was really good and was not all cheesy and romantic. It was very much about Stevie and her life and her new achievements once of which is finding a boyfriend in an unexpected situation who also happens to be her neighbor.
I give this book a 5/5 stars.
