Recipe: Thanksgiving Cookie
Serves: Makes 5 dozen

Oven Temperature: 350 degree F
Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
14 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 cup butter softened
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 1/2 cups frozen cranberries
Frosting:
1/3 cup butter
2 cups confectionary sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 to 4 tablespoons hot water
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a bowl, cream the butter and both of the sugars. Add milk, orange juice, and egg. Mix well.
2. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture. Stir in the cranberries.
3. Scoop onto cookie sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes in the oven.
4. For frosting, heat the butter on low heat until golden brown. Cool for 2 minutes and transfer to bowl.
5. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat in water at 1 teaspoon at a time until desired consistency. Spread on cookies.
